About Hutch Homes

Hutch Homes did not come from a business plan or a marketing idea. It came from experience. After years of working in residential construction and remodeling, we saw the same problems repeat t

Poor planning. Loose timelines. Homeowners left in the dark. Decisions made too late or without enough information. Projects that technically got finished, but never felt handled correctly.
We knew there had to be a better way to run projects like these. Hutch Homes was created to bring structure, clarity, and professionalism to complex residential construction. Not by doing more work, but by managing it better.

From Hands-On Work to True General Contracting

In the early days, our work was hands-on. We were involved in every detail, touching every part of the build. That approach worked for small projects, but it did not scale, and it was not the best way to serve homeowners on larger jobs. As projects grew in size and complexity, one thing became clear. The most important role was not doing the work. It was coordinating the work.
Today, Hutch Homes operates strictly as a general contractor. Our responsibility is to manage the entire project from start to finish. That means planning ahead, coordinating trusted trades, sequencing work properly, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
This shift allows us to deliver better results and a better experience for our clients.

The Way We Think About Construction Projects

Large construction projects affect every part of a homeowner’s life. They affect finances, schedules, stress levels, and daily routines. We never forget that.
Our job is not just to build. Our job is to reduce uncertainty. That starts with honest conversations early. We talk openly about scope, feasibility, and budget. We help clients understand what makes sense and what does not. If a project is not a good fit, we say so. That transparency saves everyone time and frustration.
Once a project moves forward, we believe planning is just as important as execution. Decisions made early prevent problems later. Clear expectations prevent conflict. Communication prevents stress.

Communication Is Not an Extra. It Is Part of the Work

One of the most consistent things our clients mention is communication. They appreciate knowing what is happening. They appreciate being kept in the loop. They appreciate not having to chase down answers or wonder who is responsible.
We stay in touch throughout the project and adjust communication to what each homeowner prefers. Some want regular updates. Others want only major check-ins. We respect that and build communication into the process instead of treating it as an afterthought.
Strong communication builds trust, and trust makes projects run smoother.

The People We Bring Into Your Home Matter

As a general contractor, we work with a network of subcontractors and specialists. We are intentional about who we work with.
Clients often comment on the professionalism of everyone involved in their project. That is not luck. We choose partners who share our standards, our work ethic, and our respect for the homeowner and their space.
When you hire Hutch Homes, you are not just hiring us. You are hiring a team that is aligned.

The Projects We Say Yes To and the Ones We Do Not

We are selective about the work we take on. We focus on custom home builds, full home renovations, and additions that impact the entire structure and flow of the home. These are projects where planning, coordination, and leadership matter most.
We intentionally step away from small, single-trade projects and surface-level updates. Not because those projects are unimportant, but because they do not benefit from the type of general contracting we provide.
This focus allows us to give each project the attention it deserves and ensures our clients get the experience they expect.

Our Values

Values That Show Up on the Jobsite

Our values are simple, but they guide everything we do.
We do what we say we will do.
We show up when we say we will show up.
We communicate honestly, even when conversations are difficult.
We plan carefully so problems are handled before they become emergencies.
We are not perfect, but we are accountable. And that matters.

Built for Long-Term Relationships, Not One-Time Jobs

Hutch Homes is built for the long term. We are not chasing volume or trying to be the biggest contractor in the area. Our goal is to run fewer projects, run them well, and build relationships that last beyond the final walkthrough.
Many of our clients stay in touch long after their project is complete. That tells us we are doing something right.
